PhD @Erlangen School of Molecular Communication

Several PhD positions are available within the Erlangen School of Molecular Communication, a doctoral programme of the SFB796 "Reprogramming of host cells by microbial effectors". Located at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, partners from the Natural Sciences faculty (biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, pharmaceutical chemistry) and Medical faculty (bioinformatics, dermatology, medical microbiology, virology) as well as the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits are focussing on various aspects of host-pathogen-interaction.

We are seeking highly motivated students with interest in modern molecular biology and interdisciplinary research. Doctoral projects will focus on bioinformatics, microbiology, plant biochemistry, virology and automated image analysis. We invite applications from students holding a Master’s or equivalent degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, mathematics or related fields.
